• Aleia + Brandon | St. Augustine Engagement

Some evenings have a way of slowing everything down, and Aleia and Brandon's St. Augustine engagement session felt exactly like that.

The coastal breeze rolled through the city all evening, carrying the scent of salt air and sending strands of hair dancing in every direction. The weather wasn't perfectly still, and honestly, I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. The wind added so much life to the evening, creating the kind of movement and atmosphere that can't be planned for.

What I loved most about this session was how comfortable Aleia and Brandon were together. There was no need to force moments or fill every second with direction. They naturally settled into one another — sharing quiet smiles, laughing between prompts, and finding comfort in simply being side by side. The way Brandon looks at Aleia feels steady and genuine, and her joy has a way of making every image feel a little brighter.

As we wandered through the historic streets and along the waterfront, the evening unfolded so naturally. The soft light, the texture of the city, and the movement from the wind created a setting that felt both timeless and effortless. Every corner seemed to offer something beautiful, but it was the connection between the two of them that truly made the session.

There was something so relaxed about the entire evening. No rush. No pressure. Just the two of them soaking in this season together before becoming husband and wife. Those are always my favorite kinds of sessions — the ones that feel less like a photoshoot and more like a memory.

This session was windswept, peaceful, and beautifully true to who they are. A reminder that sometimes the most meaningful photographs come from simply slowing down, leaning into the moment, and letting the evening unfold exactly as it was meant to.

  • Emily + Gavin | Lightner Museum

There are some wedding days that linger long after they're over. Not because of grand moments or elaborate details, but because of how they felt. Emily and Gavin's wedding day was one of those days.

Set within the timeless walls of St. Augustine's historic Lightner Museum, every part of their celebration felt warm, intentional, and deeply personal. The kind of day where nothing felt rushed, where conversations lingered a little longer, where hugs lasted an extra second, and where every person in attendance felt like they truly belonged there.

I've had the privilege of witnessing countless couples promise forever to one another, yet there was something uniquely special about the vows Emily and Gavin shared. They were tender and sincere, filled with admiration, gratitude, and the quiet kind of love that doesn't need to demand attention to be felt. As they spoke, the world seemed to disappear, leaving only the two of them.

Throughout the day, there was a softness to everything.

Emily's bridal portraits became an instant favorite of mine. There was an elegance to them that felt timeless, but also something incredibly personal woven into every frame. And then there was golden hour. As the evening light settled over St. Augustine, we stepped away for a few quiet moments together. The sun wrapped everything in warmth, and for a little while it felt as though time slowed down. Those portraits are some of my favorite photographs I've ever captured—not simply because they're beautiful, but because they hold so much feeling.

When I look back on Emily and Gavin's wedding day, that's what I remember most. Not any single detail, but the overwhelming sense that everyone present knew they were witnessing something deeply meaningful.

And a day that felt exactly the way a wedding should.

  • Amy + Matthew | Sailboat Engagement

This night was such a dream. I absolutely adore when couples want to do something a little different for their engagement session — something that feels like them. Don’t get me wrong, classic engagement photos will always have my heart, but there’s just something about turning your session into an experience. It becomes a memory you’ll never forget, not just a set of photos — and that’s exactly what Amy and Matthew did.

Their sailboat engagement session was pure magic. What started as a cloudy evening turned into the most golden sunset, with soft blue tones leading us right into blue hour. By the end, the air felt calm and cozy — and just as the session wrapped, a full moon peeked out over the horizon.

One of my favorite moments was capturing them from above, looking out across the water. Amy’s smile could light up a whole world, and the way Matthew looks at her… it’s the kind of look every girl hopes to be seen with. So much of this session was simply the two of them — cuddled up, soaking in the stillness, laughing quietly together — and it shows.

This evening was such a beautiful blend of documentary and editorial — relaxed, intentional, and true-to-them. I’ll cherish these photos forever, and I’ll never stop loving when couples choose to make their engagement session an experience — something that feels memorable, lived-in, and beautifully their own.
